1. Live Workshop / Seminar
One of the most profitable exchanges of your time for money with the greatest impact and reach is developing a workshop around your skill and expertise. It’s actually not that hard to create a workshop as all you need is an outline around the content, potentially some power point slides, a workbook or handouts for the participants, and your keen desire to share your knowledge passionately. It will take some marketing to fill the workshop, but when done right, it can make a very profitable one day event. The best income day I have ever had was teaching a train the trainer workshop to 30 participants that yielded more income in one day than I use to make in 1 month.
2. Instructional Video Online Product
Often as service professionals we have a skill we have mastered or valuable knowledge that could help a lot more people than we are exposed to in a day. In fact sometimes it is information that people need to have for prevention, treatment, or more importantly to positively enhance their lives. I took the information I acquired teaching a very unique niche class and created an instructional video for people who did not have access to a program like ours and needed the ‘do it yourself’ version for their home use. This video has now circled the globe to numerous countries and hundreds of participants. There are some upfront expenses to have some professional video production done for you, but there are also many free and user friendly editing programs where you could save money and do it yourself or barter services.
What is important to realize with this method is you do all the work upfront and have one time costs at the front end, but then it continues to produce passive income for you ongoing. Again you will need to do some digital marketing and optimization, but it is well worth the time for pay investment!
3. Ebook, Report, Blueprint, Formula
You can create a written document in the form of an eBook or report that concisely details all the information you have acquired around your skill to help them. This is a low cost, simple online product to create and really only requires the organization of information so that it is user friendly. You may want to tweak the word eBook to align with your offer as I have often referred to mine as an exercise program in an eBook format. The only complexity here would be in what pictures you may need and formatting the table of contents if you are not computer savvy.
4. Webinars
If you love teaching, presenting, and talking, a webinar seminar or course may be a great option for you. A webinar is an online digital presentation that generally lasts on average from 30-60 minutes. Some people present it live showing their face with or without slides and some people just talk over slides never sharing their personal camera screen. A lot of webinars are offered for free now to enroll potential customers in courses, but you can also charge people for webinars that contain highly specialized, skilled knowledge especially from an expert like you! There is a bit of digital equipment and set up required, but it is not too difficult to learn. You will need a microphone, computer camera, and a webinar hosting platform. These webinars can be recorded and then sold as a stand alone online product for your customer base.
5. Private Consulting Services Online or In Person
There are many service professionals including accountants, health care providers, coaches, counselors, teachers, and advisers that can offer their services as private consultations online to a global market. Private consultations are usually one of your higher priced services due to your time commitment and the personalized nature of the content specific to each client. This is an incredible, easy way to expand your reach to a global market and earn higher hourly fees. If you are an expert with a niche skill or a wealth of knowledge and people can find you online, this is way more lucrative than getting paid an hourly fee. You most likely will need to do some video marketing to position yourself as an expert and be seen online, but once you have established that, your online high end consulting service is launched. These can be performed simply by using Skype or Zoom.
6. Online Courses
Online courses are emerging as the fastest and soon to be the largest income producing products online. The market for online courses is only going to get bigger! If you have a body of knowledge or a skill that you have refined that others can learn from, then you need to get started on your course right away. I just heard that less than a third of the world is online using the internet right now and in the next 5 plus years that will increase to 75% of the world. You have this rare opportunity now to share your knowledge globally with less competition and to be one of the first before the large increase in users emerges.
Creating an online course has a few more steps digitally, but do not let that scare you away from doing it. There is nothing you cannot learn that after you have done it once will feel like a breeze. It is very similar to an in person workshop and actually can be filmed live as well to then be put online. All you need to coordinate is a membership area on your website for it, some course documents, and most likely some video which will need to be hosted.

One of the best ways to package your knowledge, expertise, and skill as a service professional is into a monthly membership package. This is an offer you make to customers where you either provide weekly or monthly valuable content that they pay to access. There are many variations you can create to your monthly membership and the largest goal here is to offer incredible value with ongoing additions that makes them continue their subscription with you.
